Reed Massengill Gallery Prints
The David Aden Gallery and FotoFactory Press are pleased to offer original prints from Reed Massengill.
Photographer Reed Massengill is a widely published writer and photographer who was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1961.
He has chronicled the coming of age of his model Brian Hess, whom he met in Tennessee. He began photographing Brian in 1992 shortly after Brian's high school graduation at the age of 18. During the intervening years, as the photographer and model became enduring friends, Massengill documented Brian's radical physical transformation, from vulnerable boy to independent man.
The latter photos in this gallery contain tattoos, piercings and scarifications, which dramatically altered his appearance throughout the years. These photographs of Brian are a unique diary that spans nine years and several cities.

Each signed and numbered photograph is a Silver Gelatin made from the original negative or slide. These gallery quality prints are even more precious as only 15 prints will be made from each original.
