Mel Roberts' Gallery Prints
The David Aden Gallery and FotoFactory Press are pleased to offer the last remaining original photographic prints, signed and numbered by Mel Roberts before his death. Most of the photographs from his two books, "California Boys" and "The Wild Ones" are available even if they are not included on our site. Call us with your request.
Each photograph is a Cibachrome or C-Print made from the original negative or slide shot by Mel Roberts in the 1960's and 1970's. The vibrant colors of the films used to capture his models are expertly rendered in these exquisite gallery quality prints.
No more then 43 prints were ever made from any one negative. For many of his photos, Mel only printed one or two prints.
Prices start at $5000
On August 26, 2007 Mel Roberts pasted away in Los Angeles, California. At the time of his death, he resided in the same home in Bel Air inwhich he lived in for over 50 years. Many of the photographs in his books, magazines and videos were shot in the house and around the back garden.
He is now reunited with an army of former lovers, models, fellow World World II buddies, photographers and film makers. Many of which he spoke of with great joy throughout his life. Mel Roberts was just three weeks shy of his 84th birthday having been born on August 26.
Thanks, Melvin, for all the beautiful men you have shared with us all!
